Meridian, MS Wedding DJ: Taylor’d To You

Looking for a wedding DJ in Meridian, Mississippi or the surrounding areas?  Our friend, Lee Taylor, with DJ Taylor’d To You took the time to answer some questions you may have when looking to hire a wedding DJ.

How good is your sound quality?
I take pride in the sound of my services. Quantity isn’t always better in my view. While I do have enough equipment to fill large gymnasiums, I would rather your party sound great than sound loud.

Can you follow and carry out our wedding plans?
Being a mobile DJ, you have to be versatile.  When I get hired, I am your employee.  You want it? You’ll get it.

How are you as an M.C. and do you make all the announcements?
Master of Ceremonies is a service that you will get when you hire me as your DJ. Your guest will be greeted as they arrive and be told of the events to come.  All of the announcements can come through me or if you have appointed another as the M.C., I will provide a wireless microphone.

Can I choose the music that I want?
I not only urge you to fill out an itinerary sheet for the music that you wants but also note songs that you do NOT want played at your reception. If you need help in choosing certain songs for particular dances, then I will consult you with the decision.

Does your equipment look neat and how do you dress?
I haven’t met anyone that likes to see dangling cords or people tripping over them. I will always have cords tied up and taped down. The DJ table will also be free of clutter.

I will also show up to your event in a shirt and tie (hopefully matching if I know your color).

Do you bring backup equipment with you to the wedding?
Backup equipment is always brought along to your event. Backup speakers, amps and lighting are always a must at your event.

What do you do to motivate the crowd if no one is dancing?
I like to know the crowd before I hit the play button. That is another reason that I ask for the bride and groom to fill out a music itinerary. It helps me know the type of music I will need to be playing to, at least, keep them on the dance floor.  It is my job to keep the bride and groom happy. If they are happy then the rest of the crowd will most definitely join in on the fun.

What do you require from clients?
Prior to the event, I ask for a signed contract that I will provide. For the event, I only ask for power outlets near the space you have appointed for my services.

How much of a deposit is required to secure our wedding date?
I ask for a $100 non-refundable deposit.

How much do you charge for a wedding?
Email me and I will quote you a price leetaylor@q101radio.net

How many wedding do you do each year? Or are you experienced with weddings?
Over this past year alone, I have DJ’d 16 wedding receptions. While I can’t tell you that I know everything about all weddings/receptions, I will go the extra mile to give you exactly what you are paying for and more.
