Are you still riding the engagement high but unsure what happens next?

We'll turn your vision into a real plan-and help you enjoy every step of the way.

you're engaged...but no one warned you it would feel like this

You've been dreaming of this moment for so long-the ring, the celebration, the perfect day. But now that it's here, you're realizing something no one talks about:

Planning a wedding is a lot.
You're excited, yes-but also...kinda overwhelmed.

Suddenly, you're the project manager of a once-in-a-lifetime event, and everyone has an opinion. You've got a full-time job, family to update, a partner to keep in the loop, and a never-ending list of decisions to make.

And let's be honest-half the time, you're just trying to figure out what decision even comes next.

Do you ever just wish someone would just hand you the plan?

Like this:
  • A clear roadmap so you know exactly what to do, and when
  • Help picking the right vendors without hours of Googling
  • Support when you're tired of second-guessing every little choice
  • A calm, experienced voice when you're on the edge of "is this normal?"
  • And oooh-someone to actually make it all look beautiful, too?

Girl, you are so in the right spot

At Southern Productions, I take all that excitement you're carrying-and all the pressure too-and turn it into a plan you can actually follow, with a celebration you'll be proud of forever.

Terrica McKee

In 2008, I thought I had planned the perfect wedding. But when I walked into the church, my heart dropped-it looked more like a funeral. Every flower was wrong, even the bouquet I'd carefully chosen. The reception didn't go much better-one thing after another went sideways. It was devastating.

But that day lit a fire in me.

A fire to make sure no bride in my town ever felt the kind of disappointment I did. I realized our area was missing something-a wedding planner who truly cared. Someone who would listen closely, sweat the small stuff, and bring a bride's vision to life with intention and heart.

In 2010, I officially launched Southern Productions, trading in my dental hygiene degree for a path that felt far more fulfilling.

Over 15 years and 300+ weddings later, I've helped Mississippi couples plan beautiful, meaningful, and stress-free celebrations-ones they can actually enjoy.

I treat every wedding like it's my own-carefully, personally, and with the same attention I would give my closest friend. I've had the honor of working with hundreds of couples to bring their dream weddings to life while helping them feel calm, prepared, and cared for from start to finish.

Along the way I've helped couples:
  • stop feeling overwhelmed by all the decisions
  • avoid costly mistakes they didn't know to look out for
  • and actually feel present on their wedding day-not buried in a checklist

Whether you need full planning, floral design, or both, I'm here to bring clarity to the chaos, beauty to every detail, and joy to your engagement.

Here's the story

Here's the story

Phase 01: Planning

We will start with 3 key things: 01. Budget analysis  |  02. Venue selection  |  03. Vendor selection

In this initial planning phase I want to make sure we tackle 90% of your key vendors before moving on to phase two. Key vendors include venue, caterer, photographer, cinematographer, band/DJ, officiant, cake baker and transportation.

Phase 02: Design

Once we’ve established the majority of your dream team, we move on to the pretty – the design phase of planning is centered around the things that are aesthetic pleasing. In the design phase, we’re booking things like: a custom floral proposal, luxury rental companies, up-lighting, staging, draping, stationary and paper goods, hand-letterers, etc..

This is the time I will send you off to purchase your wedding gown! We will also look at bridesmaid gowns, MOB and MOG attire, and Groom/Groomsmen attire. I then create a Design Guide that lists all the details we’ve chosen, which acts as a playbook for the wedding.

Phase 03: Coordination

This is where it all starts to come together! The timeline is crafted, vendors are contacted and the pieces of the puzzle begin to create one beautiful spread! I work closely with the venue to establish a timeline that works with the contract and hours we’re allotted. Then I contact the caterer, photographer and cinematographer and ensure we’ve got an optimal timeline for each vendor. As a planner, my role is to facilitate all the moving parts of your wedding day; coordination helps do just that!

If you are a couple that has hired us for day-of coordination, this is where we jump in!!

Phase 04: Execution

The week-of… when all the magic happens! The week of the wedding, I’m sending out final timelines and handling emails and logistics for you. I don’t want you touching your inbox; my goal is to have to ask you the least amount of questions and to be the go-between for vendors and your desires.

My director coordinates the rehearsal the night before your wedding, and we provide unlimited hours of service to you on the day-of. I’m typically one of the first vendors to arrive, and usually one of the last (if not the last) to leave.

Phase 05: Post-Wedding

After the wedding there are still tasks left for both the planner and the client to complete.

I’ve found that having these planning phases has saved me so much time and keeps me more organized with every client. The phases are broken down in an easy to understand format for clients and their parents making it easy to explain your process to potential clients. I am able to balance multiple weddings at once using this simple process.

"Within the first few minutes of meeting Terrica, I had no doubt that she would go above and beyond to make our wedding day a memorable one..and she did exactly that!"
