Frankie and Clarke had a sweet, intimate wedding in Raymond, MS, at the church the groom has attended all his life, Raymond Presbyterian Church. The reception was held across the street in the home the groom grew up in that now belongs to his sister. Since both the bride and groom had been married previously they wanted to keep the wedding very intimate with only their closest friends and family in attendance.
The bride has three handsome sons and they all walked her down the aisle. It started with the oldest walking her down the aisle to her middle son, the middle son walking her from half way down to the youngest son, then with her youngest son walking her to the altar. It was the sweetest! Her oldest son was away on a business trip that he could not get out of and his plane was scheduled to arrive in Jackson the morning of the wedding. The bride was so worried he may not make the wedding because as we all know planes get delayed from time to time. She had decided if he could not make the wedding in time she would walk herself down the aisle. She said she would not feel right just having two of her sons walk her down the aisle. It had to be all three or none. Luckily he arrived in plenty of time and everything went as planned.
I was honored to be a part of this sweet wedding and had actually met Frankie when I coordinated her oldest son’s wedding a few years prior. I also knew her from my previous job as a dental hygienist. When she first got engaged she made the decision she would not marry until her youngest son, who was a junior in high school at the time, graduated from high school. She did not want to disrupt his life and make him move his senior year. Isn’t that awesome! She’s a selfless, beautiful, great person and everyone that knows her loves her. She’s the sweetest lady and deserves all the happiness in the world! I am so happy her and Clarke were reunited…they actually dated years ago before either of them were ever married. 🙂
