The Century House Bed and Breakfast located in Meridian, MS, is the perfect location for you and your bridesmaids to stay at the night before your wedding. A lot of brides like to spend the night with their favorite girls the night before their wedding so they can all wake up, eat breakfast together then spend the day getting ready together. The Century House is the perfect place for just this! The owners are so gracious and kind and include breakfast with your stay. They can make it as formal or informal as you would like.
Located in the heart of downtown Meridian, Century House Bed and Breakfast is a grand, imposing home overlooking the city. The sounds of hymn chimes can be heard pealing from a nearby church. The hum of cars passing has replaced the quiet horse and buggy of years gone by; but the grandeur of the 1902 house still remains the same and beckons you to come in and stay awhile.
Built one hundred years ago when Meridian was a booming railroad town, the architectural design of the house is neoclassical with exterior heart pine siding scored to resemble stone. The home features porches with classical columns, 12 foot ceilings, huge pocket doors, and a mixture of antique and reproduction furniture adding to the house’s grandeur.
The house has six bedrooms which can be rented individually or you can rent the entire home. If you are planning on you and all of your bridesmaids staying there the entire house is going to be the way to go. It’s also a great location for you and your husband to stay at the night of your wedding!
All of the brides that have stayed there with their bridesmaids the night before their wedding have gotten ready there as well. Your hair stylists and makeup artists can come to The Century House to do hair and makeup for you and your bridesmaids which makes the day so much less stressful.
