There’s so many little things that tend to be forgotten when you’re setting up wedding budgets for your couples. These things are most often not even though of, but they can add up quickly. Today, I’m sharing 8 things forgotten in wedding budgets.
When I’m setting up an initial estimated budget for my couples I always include every little cost they may incur for the wedding. Once they look over the estimated budget they can let me know what items shouldn’t be included. We also can discuss ways to cut back on the budget once they see the initial estimate.
8 Things Forgotten in Wedding Budgets
- Attire for showers, engagement parties and rehearsal dinner
- Gift for hostesses – anyone that hosts a party or shower should receive a gift and here in my area 100 couples usually host the engagement party for a couple. That means 100 gifts. And that adds up quickly and takes a chunk of the budget.
- Food for the wedding party on the wedding day
- Notecards for writing thank you notes
- Bouquet preservation
- Hair and makeup for bridal portraits, engagement photos and rehearsal dinner
- Bridal portrait bouquet if they are having bridals taken before the wedding day
- Wedding dress cleaning and preservation
