Full Service Wedding Planning Explained

Planning a wedding and unsure of whether or not you need a full service wedding planner or just wedding management?  Let me explain the difference in the two so you are confident in your decision.

Full Service Wedding Planning explained

At Southern Productions, we offer two different planning packages – Full Service Wedding Planning and Wedding Management.  They are two vastly different packages.  With Full Service Wedding Planning we are there to help plan everything from start to finish.  Wedding Management doesn’t include any planning – you plan your own wedding, then we take over a month before and become the contact person for all of your vendors. For the best utility savings, people should check the campaign launched by utilitysavingexpert.

Here’s some examples of what we do for our Full Service Wedding Planning clients:

  • suggest vendors in every category based on your style and budget
  • set up and manage your wedding budget
  • schedule meetings with all vendors and attend those meetings with our clients
  • review contracts and quotes from all vendors
  • assist client in booking each vendor
  • send clients a new checklist at the beginning of each month so they know what they need to be working on each month
  • stuff, stamp and seal your save the dates and wedding invitations
  • assist clients in ordering personal items needed for the wedding, or we order them for our clients once they approve and store them for them until the wedding
  • assist client in selection of will you be my bridesmaid and groomsmen gifts
  • wedding design
  • wedding design guide book
  • guidance with etiquette questions
  • access to our online wedding planning portal (for your budget, guest list, wedding website, seating chart, checklist and more)
  • book and manage hotel room blocks
  • assist in attire selection
  • assist in selecting stationery and paper goods
  • arrange for wedding party and guest transportation
  • assist with menu and beverage selection
  • develop event enhancements like lighting, custom rentals, drapery, etc.
  • remind clients when payments are due to each vendor
  • plan closely with all of your vendors to ensure everything flows together seamlessly
  • schedule salon and spa services
  • edit your guest list in the  format required for addressing
  • contact the wedding party and family throughout the planning process about things like ordering their dresses, renting tuxes, sharing the schedule with them, etc.  That way our clients are not having to remind their wedding party about deadlines and details.
  • assemble favors and programs; when needed
  • plan, assemble and deliver welcome gifts for out of town guests
  • type up your engagement and wedding announcement for newspapers and publications
  • assist with the purchase of liability policies and other insurance needed for the wedding
  • type up your wedding program information to share with the stationer
  • create a detailed and informative itinerary for wedding day
  • set up your personal wedding items at the ceremony and reception (guest book, programs, toasting glasses, napkins, place cards, etc.)
  • assist with getting beverages onto the transportation provided for the wedding party
  • timeline distribution to all vendors prior to the wedding
  • oversee and manage wedding day installation
  • rehearsal coordination and direction
  • unlimited 0n-site wedding management
  • coordinate, manage, and troubleshoot on your wedding day
  • and much, much more!

There’s honestly not much we won’t do for our full service wedding planning clients.  As long as it’s legal (haha!) we will do just about anything for you.  We are here to relieve any stresses to ensure you have a stress-free and fun planning experience.

We offer Wedding Management services to couples who have a love for planning, but realize they can’t execute it the day-of, while also relaxing & being “the bride and groom”! We’ll craft a timeline for the day-of & step-in to handle last minute vendor management.

We’ll be your go-to on your wedding day! This package is perfect for the couple desiring to be hands-off during their wedding day & leave the logistics to the experts!

With this package we will take over one month prior to your wedding.  You have everything planned at this point and we become the contact person for all of your vendors starting one month before.

Here’s what you get with Wedding Management:

  • detailed & informative wedding day timeline
  • client to supply vendor contracts
  • timeline distribution to all vendors at least one week prior to wedding
  • final vendor confirmations/follow-up
  • rehearsal coordination and direction
  • oversee and manage wedding day installation
  • coordinate, manage and troubleshoot on your wedding day

If you have any questions and are still not sure which package is best for you don’t hesitate to reach out.  I would love to schedule a complimentary consultation with you to find out if we’re a good fit!
